Following the “unofficial” leak of its trailer, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare has now been officially announced by the folks at Activision.
Featuring Kevin Spacey as antagonist Jonathan Irons, the game will revolve around private military corporations and their increasingly gloomy influence in the world, with Irons apparently leading one of these PMCs against the US government.
Exosuits enabling the player to jump super high and turn invisible, gloves with which they can scale walls, and hoverbikes to, well, zoom around on, can all be seen in the trailer. Expect some futuristic goodness.
Preorder bonuses have also already been announced, with gamers in the US who preorder from GameStop receiving an exclusive personalisation pack for Call of Duty: Ghosts and Call of Duty: Black Ops II. In the UK, Game will be in charge of the promotion, which is set to go live on May 13th in all regions.
Activision hasn’t confirmed which consoles the game will release on, but the Xbox One and PS4 are definite candidates, although we’ll have to wait and see whether last-gen consoles are excluded this time around.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is set for a November 4th release. It is in development by Sledgehammer Games.
